Evaluation of Courses
USF utilizes a standardized form for students to evaluate all classes. The evaluation forms and instructions for administering the course evaluations are sent to faculty before the last week of classes. Faculty should plan to provide class time for students to complete the evaluation forms during the last two weeks of class. The evaluations are not to be administered during final exam week.
The data analysis of the course evaluations is conducted by the university and returned to the home department/college. Student responses to open-ended questions are typed and returned to the faculty member. It is important that the faculty member keep a copy of the evaluation results for inclusion in their annual evaluation, tenure and promotion applications, and other teaching recognition programs. For all courses offered by FMHI, the evaluation results will be sent to Patty Cleveland. Patty will send one copy to the instructor; one copy to the department chair; one copy to the Dean’s Office faculty files; and will maintain one copy in her central administrative files.
