Dean Shern congratulates REU student
presenters at the RTC Conference.
REU Scholars enroll in two courses, typically for a total of 6 hours credit. The tuition for these courses is paid through a scholarship provided to students accepted into the program.
MHS 4741: Research Processes in Behavioral Health This course provides an overview of research issues in behavioral healthcare and focuses on developing student understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods, the ethical conduct of research, and the development of research proposals, reports, and papers. In addition, students will improve their writing, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
MHS 4912: Behavioral Health Research This course provides a mentored research experience in an area of behavioral health. Students develop and a research plan and conduct an independent research project in collaboration with a faculty mentor.
