Please write a brief statement (no more than 150 words) describing any research experience you have had, e.g., research courses, research projects, other related experience. The quality of your writing as well as the content of your answer will be evaluated as part of the selection process.
Please write a brief statement (approximately 500 words) describing the area(s) of research you would be interested in pursuing as part of the REU, topics you find compelling within this area, and reasons why these topics interest you. You should review areas of research expertise at BCS on the College web site: www.bcs.usf.edu and identify BCS faculty who might be a potential mentor for your research interests. We cannot guarantee that the faculty member(s) you list will be available to be a mentor but we will use this information to guide us in the matching process. The quality of your writing as well as the content of your answer will be evaluated as part of the selection process.
Please write a brief statement (approximately 250 words) describing your plans for attending graduate school and your career goals and describe how the Summer Research Institute will help you in pursuing those goals. Please note that the quality of your writing will be evaluated as part of the selection process.
Please provide any other information you would like us to consider as part of your application, e.g., honors, awards, specialized skills, other. Please limit your response to 250 words.
