Distinguished Lectures of Insight, Innovation & Impact

Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute is pleased to announce the Institute's new "3 I's" Distinguished Lectures of Insight, Innovation and Impact Series, which will bring exceptionally accomplished national experts to the University to profile their scholarship and research activities, with a focus on "the three I's." The Distinguished Lecturers will also visit with community leaders/groups in order to continue our commitment to community partnered participatory research and engaged scholarship."

The Institute's work has been applied and focused on 'making research work', so this series was created to further inspire our work and draws from the following definitions:
  • Insight: the clear (and often) sudden understanding of a complex situation.
  • Innovation: the process of converting knowledge and ideas into better ways of doing… or into new or improved…services that are valued by the community.
  • Impact: the powerful or dramatic effect that something or somebody has.
